A contemporary example of remediation would be the Lord of the Rings series. It was originally a series of books that was made into a series of films. This is a perfect example of something that was changed in order to fit into a totally different genre. The Lord of the Rings has also been made into video games, action figures, and them park rides. Even though it simply started out as a writing it was changed into all sorts of forms of entertainment.
