Journal 1

If we look at the dictionary definition of a writer, it says that a writer is a person whose work or occupation is writing-specifically an author, journalist, or the like. If we go by such a definition then most of us would not consider ourselves writers. The reality is we are all writers, whether we are aware of it or not. I consider myself a writer because writing is part of my everyday life, I do it both formally and informally; I might not be a good writer, but I am a writer. Not a single day goes by when I do not get on facebook chat, respond to an email, write a paper for some class etc. these are all examples of writing and the point is I use writing in my everyday life. My goal by the end of the semester is to meet the web definition of a writer. I want to be more confident when I write. In short I want my writing to be stylistically and grammatically correct.
