OMG Shut Up Response

I feel that Koehler may have exaggerated a little bit when it came to texting and how it affects the English language. I think that anyone who texts, adults or teens, know when to use text-style writing and proper English writing. No one is going to put "lol" or "jk" in his or her paper for a class. No one at a business meeting is going to say, "O-M-G." It is common sense that no one is going to do that. I feel that Megan was a little harsh and was very judgmental. She was almost yelling at the audience, not so much presenting her opinion. I think that this essay was too obnoxious and made me not really believe what she was trying to stand up for.
