As a midterm self assessment, I think that I am doing well in this class. I seem to do better in this class than my previous English classes in high school. I like this different kind of writing - the inquiry assignments - even though it can be quite challenging. I never really liked writing that much before, but this class has been an interesting type of writing for me. My favorite essay so far is Inquiry 1. I really liked writing about a rhetorical moment. It was something that I could relate to because I had had experience on the topic. I like the other topics and the writing too, but it is a little difficult to analyze an argument, especially on the opposing side. I feel pretty good about how I am doing in this class, and I can't believe we're already beyond midterm!
