Midterm Assessment

So far the first semester has been going pretty good. It got off to a rough start with my grades and am currently trying to dig myself out of a hole, which is very time consuming. I hope to get better with managing my time between homework and a social life better. This I'm sure will lead to better grades. I still haven't declared a major yet, but I'm a little closer. What I've accomplished has been completing my first college course, which I got an A in! I have not skipped a class on purpose, but slept few a couple by accident. I still hope to do this first semester is finish my classes strong and bring the grades up, while also learning more about myself through the college experience.

  1. Half way through the semester we have written two papers and are admits our third. These two assignments have showed me that writing requires long hours of frustrating work but is very rewarding in the end. This course enlightened me with rhetoric a term I had never heard before ENG 111. Now I realize how often it is used all around us everyday. I now look at commercials and wondering if they are using ethos, pathos or logos. I hope to be able to have more confidence in my writing ability. I want to not fear research papers. I want to be able to recognize a valid source from invalid and know the proper places to look for information. I want to master internal citing.
