I would not consider myself to be a writer, if you define a writer to be one who publishes written literature. However, I have been writing my entire life while in school. Writing is essential to learning because when you write something down it is ingrained somewhere deep in your brain and is the first step to memorization. Outside of learning I mostly write through digital mediums in order to communicate with my friends and family ( ex. Facebook and Text messaging). For me, writing is a very useful tool which can be used to expand the mind. Throughout this class I hope my writing skills will improve in many ways and that I will learn skills to help make my writing stronger and more persuasive.
