Looking back on my writings, my tone and voice is pretty consistent. There are some changes in my voice and tone however when writing a research paper and when writing a personal paper. My tone is a lot more informational in my research paper. I think it is important to have a consistent voice, because that voice is unique to that author, making it possible to distinguish from other works.
