Journal 7
In this journal entry I will be discussing the remediation of the Harry Potter book series to the movies we have all seen. First off I believe the remediation from book to movie was successful seeing how the movies have broken box office records. Also more people are likely to see a movie than read a book. It brings in a bigger audience of old and young. One of the differences that occurred during this remediation was that scenes from the books had to be cut from the film in order keep the film at a reasonable time. Books don't usually have the same length restraints as movies due. Another reason for scenes being cut could be they were to graphic to show in theaters while in books it is only describing the action and not visually shown to the reader. Also when remediating a book to movie usually only the significant parts are put into the movie which can take away from the overall feeling the book had
