Midterm thoughts

When I first started this class I was not sure what to expect. I thought of horror stories about college students having to write papers almost every day. I also thought about having to write long papers that were 10 pages single spaced and things like that. Now that I have been through half of this class I know what I can expect the assignment to be like. I really think that this class has helped me become adjusted to college life. The work load is not to hard, but its not something that you can do without putting effort into it either; I think it is a good amount. I think that I have learned a lot about myself as a writer as well in the class. I have learned a lot about the techniques I can use for different types of papers as well as incorporating commercials and videos into my assignments, which is a lot of fun. I do still want to improve on my participation in class. I find it hard since I am not a morning person to get into an 8:00 class and participate. Although I am paying attention and always thinking about the topic we are discussing in class I just like to listen to other people's thoughts instead of stating my own. I think a large cup of coffee is in order for the remainder of the year...
